Hello!

Well, hello there!

The first post on my new blog, and I guess I had better introduce myself, and tell you what I plan to do with 'The Creative Motherhood'.

I'm Helen. I'm new to the mummy game. My beautiful little girl is currently 9 weeks old (well, 6 weeks and 4 days if we're being really specific!) and I think she's amazing.

I will probably be writing most of the posts on here while I'm feeding her, or while she is asleep on me. She doesn't sleep much, she's far too nosy and hates to miss out on anything, but when she does sleep it's mainly on me or in my arms. If I dare put her down in the moses basket, bouncer chair (fully reclined, of course) or her beside crib, within seconds she is awake and wondering how I could even think of abandoning her in such a dangerous place! I figured that I may as well spend that time doing something constructive and creative and a blog fits the bill!

I'm intending to review various products, most of which will be baby or mummy related, but not exclusively. During my pregnancy, I would Google everything I was going to buy to read reviews, and I often had a question about the product and I would try to find a review that answered it. More often than not I couldn't find the answer and so I hope to answer my own questions in my reviews in case anyone else is doing the same! When I was pregnant, I taught myself to crochet. I haven't had chance to do any since having my baby (9 days early I should add!) so I'll post about what I did crochet during pregnancy and as I get the time to do more new things I'll post about them too! In my spare time I love to bake, and I also enjoy doing anything crafty and creative so expect to see posts about these from time to time.
